Mrs. Dana Boyd-Harris is an artist and the founder of “Paint on Purpose”.  She has a bachelor’s in interior design from Harrington Institute, Chicago and over 15 years of experience in interior design and management. Dana is actively engaged in church and community efforts.  She has always enjoyed working with people, helping others on her team succeed, and thriving in leadership roles. She has completed the Community Leadership Academy (CLA) with Proviso Partners for Health.  She has also completed the Social Enterprise Certificate program at University of Illinois at Chicago. She has taught over 1000 children and adults. She maintains relationships with several not-for-profit organizations as well as senior citizen housing facilities.   Her love of God and passion for art are what drove her to open a mobile painting studio where she can share her gift with others. Leading others to art that can provide sustainability is an added perk, particularly for those who have been marginalized in society. 

 

Paint on Purpose” (POP) is a business that hosts local art shows, private classes, and community events. POP’s mission is threefold: 1) expose humanity to the world of art, 2) share the benefits of artistic expression, and 3) provide opportunities for sustainability through the arts.   Our mission is to be a premier mobile art studio that is the “go to” space for healing arts in the western suburbs.
